GOD

a) TRINITY

We believe that there is one God eternally existing in three distinct persons. Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

b) JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became a man without ceasing to be God. He was born of a virgin in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. By dying upon the cross, Christ paid the price of sin, fully satisfied the wrath of God, and brought peace with God and salvation to all who believe. He was buried, and three days later He rose again from the grave, ensuring our justification and glorification. He is presently in Heaven, seated at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He is our Representative, Intercessor and Advocate. He will soon return to the air and take all believers to Heaven.
After the tribulation, He will return to the earth and reign for 1000 years in peace and prosperity.
(John 1:1-2,14, 20:28; Acts 1:9-10; Romans 3:24,8:34; Hebrews 9:24; Colossians 2:9; Luke 1:35; 1 Peter 1:3-5; 2 Timothy 4:1 )

c) HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is a person of the Godhead who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He is the sovereign agent in creation, Christ’s incarnation, our salvation and sanctification. He permanently indwells every believer.
(2 Corinthians 3:6; John 16:8-11)

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God. It is completely true and without error in the original documents. We believe all that the Bible teaches and believe it is the final authority for faith and life.
(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20,21)

CREATION

The Bible says that the world was created by God in 6 literal 24 hour days, and on the seventh day He rested. The world was created by Him and for His glory.
(Genesis 1,2; Colossians 1:15-17; John 1:1-3)

WATER BAPTISM

Baptism is a command to all believers (people who have repented of their sins and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ).
Baptism does not save you, it is merely an outward declaration that one has become a follower of Jesus Christ.
It is to be administered in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We baptize by full immersion in water, not a mere sprinkling.
(Acts 8:36-39; Matt 28:19,20)

MAN

God created man without sin, in His own image and likeness and for His own Glory. When Adam, the head of creation sinned, the entire human race fell in him. Consequently, all inherit a sinful nature, are alienated from God and unable to save themselves.
Every person since Adam inherits a sinful nature and is born a sinner.
(Genesis 1:26-27,2:7; Romans 3:23,5:12; Ephesians 2:1-3,12)

SALVATION

There is one way of salvation. It is “not by works of righteousness which we have done”, but by His mercy He saves us. Salvation comes through grace alone, by faith in Christ alone. We believe in a penal substitutionary atonement.
(Ephesians 2:8-10; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19)

THE BREAKING OF BREAD (The Lord’s Supper)

When we break the bread and drink of the cup, we do so in remembrance of Jesus’ body given for us and His blood shed for us. We believe that the bread symbolises the body of Christ and the cup symbolises the new covenant in His blood. We do not believe that they physically turn into the literal body and blood of Christ (transubstantiation), They are merely symbols.
(1 Corinthians 10:17, 11:23-26)

ETERNAL SECURITY AND ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

Those who have repented of their sins and have received Christ as their Lord and Saviour are sealed with the Holy Spirit and are secure in Christ forever. Nothing can reverse the process of the new birth.
It is a privilege for the believer to rejoice in his assurance through the testimony of the word of God, which forbids the use of Christian liberty as an occasion for the flesh.
(1 Corinthians 15:1,2; John 10:27-30; John 15:1-11, 1 John 3:6-10)

THE CHURCH

The church is not a building or a place; instead it is a body of all born-again Christians. Christ is the Head of the Church and is the Saviour of the body. The Church is the bride of Christ whom He has loved and for whom He gave himself so that He might set her apart for Himself.
(Ephesians 5:22-27; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Colossians 1:18)
